About
The Ohio War Orphans Scholarship provides tuition assistance to the children of deceased or severely disabled veterans who served in the armed forces during a period of conflict. Eligible students under age 25 can receive tuition at Ohio public institutions or an equivalent amount at eligible private institutions. The scholarship is administered by the Ohio Board of Regents.
Eligibility
Must be under 25 years of age. Parent must have been an Ohio resident who served during a qualifying conflict period and died or was severely disabled as a result of service.
How to Access
Apply through the Ohio Department of Higher Education. Submit proof of the veteran parent's service, disability, or death, along with your birth certificate and enrollment verification. Applications are due by May 15 for the following academic year.
