Ohio GI Promise
Veterans and service members receive immediate in-state tuition at Ohio public colleges and universities without the standard 12-month residency waiting period.
About
The Ohio GI Promise guarantees that veterans, active-duty service members, and their dependents can receive in-state tuition rates at Ohio's public colleges and universities immediately upon enrollment. There is no 12-month residency waiting period, which means veterans transitioning to civilian life can begin their education right away at the lower in-state tuition rate.
Eligibility
Must be a veteran, active-duty service member, or dependent of a veteran or service member. Must be enrolling at an Ohio public institution of higher education.
How to Access
Contact the admissions or registrar's office at your chosen Ohio public college or university. Provide your DD-214 or active-duty orders to verify military status. In-state tuition rates will be applied immediately without a residency waiting period.
