About

OhioCares is Ohio's statewide behavioral health coordination program for veterans, service members, and their families. The program connects individuals with military-culturally-competent counselors who understand the unique challenges of military service. OhioCares provides assessment, referral, and coordination services for mental health and substance use concerns.

Eligibility

Open to all Ohio veterans, active-duty service members, National Guard and Reserve members, and their family members. No VA enrollment or disability rating required.

How to Access

Call the OhioCares hotline at (800) 720-9616 to speak with a trained coordinator. You can also visit ohiocares.ohio.gov/veterans/ for information and resources. A coordinator will assess your needs and connect you with a culturally competent counselor in your area.
